hey everybody. finally the time has come for me to write poems again. enjoy this one.


Bells toss and call to prayer
I follow their solemn calling
Step up the stairs leading to the heavy door
Open the wooden door to peace

Feeling like a needy, a nobody
I enter the holy room
People praying quietly
welcome me heartily amid them
like one of their kind

Service starts in due time
For the first time
I feel safe, at home
The warmth of faith finally has reached me

Really nice...and especially something theology students like me will enjoy
Is it based on a real experience?

yes, it is. i hadn't attended a church service for quite a while after all that trouble with my family, it really felt like a big welcome when i entered that room. it was a great and indescribable feeling. i mean, i've always been religious, but lately i had felt a bit like a traitor when i went to a church service because i didn't fight for what i wanted. but now, when i went there again, it felt so right, so homely that i had to create something out of it...
