Hey everybody! Thought this was exactly what we needed around here...a meme about writing!
Keyboard or pen? Depends on when and where I have good ideas, and what I have with me. Usually type up stories, though.
Beta-reader or no beta-reader? Beta, if I find someone who does it. It's way better than embarassing myself with a story full of logical or grammatical mistakes.
Plot? I try as hard as I can to have one, yes.
Title? Is always hard to find. Although I had a case when a title stuck in my head and I wrote the story to it...
Smushy or smutty? Smushy...I'd be too embarassed to write real smut. Am not dirty-minded enough, I fear.
Summary? Is usually easy to do, but for some stories, you probably don't want to give anything away.
Funniest fic? I once wrote one about "Prince Charming" which I love (If I find it, I'll post it for you), that I like rather much.
Most popular fic? I have no idea. The one with most answers here, probably.
Best and Worst? Best...Ria&Mara-Stories for Christmas. Worst...my effort to write an alternative ending to Matrix Revolutions.
Coulda been Contenders? My Harry Potter-Matrix-Help Crossovers. Stupidity rules. They are so funny.
Strengths? Describing everything in detail (clothes, landscapes, things).
Weaknesses? Dialogues, sometimes, are really hard. Also, not straying off-topic is difficult.
Dirty Little Secrets? Most stories I make up are NEVER written down. Because I cannot find the words to do it.
hey that's great! writing as a topic! let's have a look! Keyboard or pen? Well, difficult question. I prefer pen, but as it is sometimes illegible I'd say keyboard is better for those who have to read my works...
Beta-reader or no beta-reader? I actually don't have one who wants to correct my mistakes, but I think a beta-reader would be great.
Plot? Normally, yes. But I once wrote a story that didn't need one...
Title? Difficult, very difficult... I try to find one, but usually that's the last thing I do when I'm writing.
Smushy or smutty? Smushy, absolutely. I would feel strange, if I wrote something dirty
Summary? I just don't like summaries. So I don't wanna do them.
Funniest fic? A story about a referee and a cactus...
Most popular fic? Ask someone else. I've no idea!
Best and Worst? A kind of stream of conciousness story called Why is probably my best, but I have a lot of worst stories, especially those I wrote at the beginning of my "creative career".
Coulda been Contenders? I have no idea.
Strengths? Being close to reality
Weaknesses? Dialogues and descriptions. They never seem to be right.
Dirty Little Secrets? I sometimes start stories, but leave them unfinished. And sometimes I just want to keep them and then, I don't want anybody to read them
Keyboard or pen? I'm definitely a pentype. I like to write things down as they come to my mind, and waiting until I can start my Laptop in the evening - maybe, I would forget the one part and put down the other part as sappy or dumb...
Beta-reader or no beta-reader? My best friend betaes most of my work and other, more private fiction is reread from time to time by myself and then corrected as well.
Plot? If one hits me, yeah. Sometimes, when I just write down a certain scene, I think of a plot, but I don't necessarily write it down. In these cases, it doesn't have to sound logically either.
Title? I love tragic titles and I sometimes build whole stories about titles...
Smushy or smutty? I cannot write the dirty stuff, I'm somehow unable. And I hate slash anyway...
Summary? Just summaries about my stories. They sometimes read like epguides from a Tv-series.
Funniest fic? Mostly unintenionally fun, because I almost never stick to coherent plots or logical actions. And I mostly write on the light side... Maybe the mummies or the hotel...
Most popular fic? My "San Francisco" series. Continually read by 7 to 8 people *proud*
Best and Worst? Best: A very personal peace called "Sanctuary", in my own opinion. Worst: My sad try to write a hurt/comfort story. I love reading them and I thought, come on, try it... and I have to put it that way - I really suck.
Coulda been Contenders? Dunno.
Strengths? Dialogs. In every way. Descriptions.
Weaknesses? Plots in general, and endings of longer works. They tend too end to be too speedy and quick, because it want it to get done.
Dirty Little Secrets? I have many stories in my head which aren't written down, because on paper, they don't look as good as in my mind. And I'm a lazybone in writing anyway.
