hi all! do you know the problem: you feel like writing, you're ready, you have your pen right in your hand, but the blank page stares at you? or: you have started a story, you think it could become one of your best and then at one point you get stuck, and whatever you write, sounds stupid? or: you have to stop writing at a certain point, whatever reason there may be for it, and then, when you want to continue, the words don't come out right? what are your solutions for these problems? what are your experiences?
Usually, I just put the story aside and wait til I get inspired again. Then, maybe after a few days, or even a few months, I take the story and write on. I tried other "tricks", but actually, they only lead to writing a less-than-perfect continuation.
normally, i also do this, even if it makes me feel bad. but i think there is a rupture in the story, when i'm doing that. so i'm kind of caught in the middle...
I just realised that lately, I often use another method. I get back to the beginning, or a certain point in the story, where I got stuck, and rewrite from there. Most times, the finished story uses the idea but is a lot shorter. But it works.
I'll mostly just let my mind fly :-) to sit there with a blank page and just writing down EVERYTHING no matter how stupid it may seem... and then suddenly the right thing pops up in my mind...
