Missing you

I’m missing you, my love,
With all my heart this very night.
Too strong my thoughts divert
Me from my sleep, I can’t.

I long to see, to feel, to kiss
Just you, my love, oh say:
When will I hear from you again?
I cannot wait, t’is been so long.

Can you hear my heart, my love?
Endlessly it beats for you
With so much force. I wonder, if it’s
Strong enough for you to hear back there.

I’ll go back to sleep now, hon’
And hope to meet you in my dreams.
At least the sleep might bring you here.
